I, Hypocrite

I laugh,
In blissful arrogance
The man in front of me in line
Of this mind-shattering limbo
On the path to final judgement, the end of all things
This man
Branded a terrible sinner,
Decadent with a cross upon his neck
Blubbering incomprehensible apologies
The maw of the inferno opens wide
His soul, cast in, screams so tremendously it shakes the very foundation of my soul
I grin in a stupor, elated with perceived superiority
For I did not gamble the rights of fellow man away for fortune
I did not cast aside moral and mortal alike for success
